Salary: GBP16 – GBP16 per hour + + OT Rate, Excellent Earning Potential

Sheet Metal Operative – Punch Press (Amada)

• Location: Buntingford, Hertfordshire
• Job Type: Temp-to-perm
• Pay: £16.00 p/hr + Overtime at £21.00 p/hr – Good hours available
• Shift premium: Paid after 4:00pm (late shift)

Working hours:

• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Early shift: 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Late shift: 1:00pm – 10:00pm (shift premium paid after 4:00pm)
• Flexibility required: rotating early/late shifts (late shift to be introduced soon)

The role:

We’re recruiting for an experienced CNC Punch Press Setter / Operator, ideally with Amada experience (or similar). This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term prospects for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities:

• Set and operate Amada CNC punch press machinery
• Carry out tooling changes, first-off checks and maintain tolerances
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Measure and inspect components using basic measuring equipment
• Complete job paperwork and maintain good housekeeping standards
• Follow site Health & Safety procedures at all times

Skills and experience required:

• Proven experience as a Punch Press Setter/Operator
• Able to work to deadlines/targets while maintaining quality
• Reliable, quality-focused and flexible with working hours/shifts
