About The Role

Are you enthusiastic and motivated? Do you want to help make a positive difference in the lives of those we support to promote independence, wellbeing and recovery? Are you able to work flexibly? If so, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for Relief Support Workers to work in our Young Persons Services across West Cornwall. You will be working as part of a larger Support team to provide support services to young people. The role includes supporting people to manage their tenancy, understanding benefits and encouraging positive life skills like budgeting, wellbeing and social inclusion.

You will be working shifts on an adhoc basis. You will support and monitor the conduct, health and safety and general welfare of residents with a flexible and sensitive approach.

This role is being offered on a relief contract basis, working flexibly to include days at the scheme as and when required. Sometimes there will be other colleagues on site but you may also be required to lone work at times on site.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

  • Have the ability to assess and manage risk.
  • Be able to demonstrate the skills required to support individuals.
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of adult vulnerabilities in a supported housing environment.
  • Have the ability to adopt a methodical, organised approach to work.

If you are able to work flexibly, and have the above experience, we would love to hear from you.

Please note: This role is not eligible for Cos. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without requiring a CoS.
