Overview

Domiciliary Care Assistant – Weekend Slots Only

We are looking for an experienced Domiciliary Care Worker to join us on a part-time weekend basis.

At New Horizons Care, we pride ourselves on offering an exceptional standard of care to vulnerable clients in their own homes in the East Midlands.

Our carers play a vital role in our client’s lives, ensuring assistance according to their individual and personal care requirements, whilst enjoying a rewarding and enriching industry of work with flexibility and career progression.

We are looking to recruit a Support Worker who share our principles and who are dedicated and passionate about providing support to those who need it.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients with their individual and personal care requirements in their homes.
  • Follow key principles to obtain the clients’ respect and dignity.
  • Adhere to the client’s Care Plan and follow routines to maintain independence.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand needs and preferences.
  • Record and monitor changes in individual conditions.
  • Be a keen routine follower and commit to a set schedule for weekends (Saturdays/Sundays) with availability to cover holidays and sickness within the team.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence is preferable.
  • You will have a calm and friendly approach.
  • You will be able to follow care plans and routines.
  • Commitment to a template of at least one set day per week and flexibility to cover holidays and sickness.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to treat clients with dignity and respect.

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the independence of our clients. Your ability to communicate and relate to our client(s), as well as your understanding of the principles of dignity and respect, will be key in following routines, carrying out set care plans, and recording and monitoring changes in individual conditions.
