Engineering Warehouse Operative

Full Time | Permanent | Rotating Shifts | £27,560+ Bonus

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Engineering Warehouse Operative to join our growing team within the steel and alloys industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join an employee‑owned business offering long‑term stability, generous bonuses, strong benefits, and ongoing training.

Shift Pattern

  • Days: 06:00 – 14:30 Monday to Friday
  • Afters: 13:00 – 23:00 Monday to Thursday

Pay & Benefits

  • £13.25 per hour
  • £27,560 annual salary

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence/certificate
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
  • Reliable with good attendance
  • Good awareness of health & safety procedures
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Good housekeeping and organisational standards

Preferred

  • Automated industrial bandsaw experience
  • Overhead crane licence/certificate
  • Steel industry experience
  • Packing experience
  • Own transport
  • Multi‑directional forklift truck licence
  • Experience working with nickel grade alloys
  • Basic computer skills

About the Role

Duties may include:

  • Operating industrial saws and warehouse equipment
  • Material handling using forklifts and cranes
  • Packing and preparing customer orders
  • Loading and unloading materialsFollowing quality and safety procedures
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards
  • Working collaboratively within the production and warehouse team
