As the first point of contact for visitors, our Weighbridge Operatives play a vital role in ensuring a positive and professional experience. If you’re friendly, organised, and confident, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off days – 12 hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Reporting: Prepare and share accurate reports with site management and commercial teams.
• Site Inductions: Welcome first‑time drivers and guide them through safety protocols.
• Emergency Response: Act as the key contact during on‑site emergencies, following escalation procedures.
• Data Entry: Maintain precise records in the Weightron system and ensure timely reporting.
• Traffic Management: Coordinate vehicle movements for safe and efficient operations.
• Compliance: Identify and report non‑conformances promptly.
• Communication: Liaise with internal teams and visitors, using two‑way radios when required.
• Weighbridge Monitoring: Check equipment is functioning correctly and within tolerance.
• Documentation Checks: Verify delivery paperwork for accuracy and compliance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential:

• Computer literacy (Excel and Word)
• Strong communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience in the waste industry
• First Aid qualification
• Knowledge of Environment Agency regulations
