As a Domiciliary carer – Offer high-quality, person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes, promoting dignity, independence, and emotional wellbeing. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, supporting health needs, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Personal Care: Assist with personal care and promote client independence.

2. Daily Living Support: Support with meals, mobility, and household tasks as outlined in the care plan.

3. Medication Support: Administer or support medication and maintain records.

4. Emotional & Social Support: Offer companionship, emotional support, and encourage clients’ social and recreational engagement.

5. Record-Keeping & Reporting: Maintain care records, report health changes promptly, and adhere to organisational policies and safeguarding standards.

6. Professional Conduct: Demonstrate professionalism and respect, uphold data protection, and participate in ongoing training. Attend mandatory training and participate in professional development.

Qualifications

  • DBS clearance required.
  • No prior experience required; full training will be provided.
  • Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and reliable vehicle access.
  • Must be flexible to cover different shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Candidates must have the legal right to work, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.

  • Health & Safety: Work safely; follow risk assessments, infection control, and manual handling procedures.
  • Medicines: Administer safely and record accurately. (Medicines Act 1968 & Misuse of Drugs Act 1971)
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow CQC Fundamental Standards and NICE guidelines.

A domiciliary care worker is legally and ethically responsible for delivering safe, person-centred care in peoples homes through structured assessments, trained staff, robust safeguarding, and continuous quality monitoring.
