At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose to improve people’s lives.

This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.

What is a Community Resource Centre (CRC)?

Bath and North East Somerset have two care homes which are Community Resource Centres located in Bath and Midsomer Norton. Each Community Resource Centre includes a residential care home for between 30 and 45 people, and these homes provide important services to older people in our community. We provide care and health services in a comfortable, safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities, including dementia.

Combe Lea

Combe Lea is a residential care home that provides care and health services in a safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities. It offers a broad range of activities which aim to promote independence by developing or maintaining and enhancing people’s skills, interests and abilities.

As a Night Care Assistant

  • You will be a good team player and have great communication skills.
  • You will develop appropriate and professional relationships with our residents and carers, valuing them as individuals and establishing effective communication.
  • You will promote and maintain person‑centred service and operate safely appropriate equipment with training.

About You

Previous comprehensive experience of working in care would be desirable, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential.
