Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. For all hours worked between midnight and 6am you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour worked. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you prefer fewer hours (minimum 12) we are also happy to consider that.
We will schedule your contracted hours within the stated availability windows and give you exactly three weeks’ notice of your shifts. We also support flexibility; if your required times are close to the advertised windows we will still consider you.

Responsibilities
- Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; provide excellent natural service.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services in the store.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
- Apply the training you receive so we all work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines that meet their needs at the right time.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand the store’s performance, your role and what we need to do together to drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Live the values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow the policies.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
Qualifications
