Overview

This position is a Relief General Kitchen Assistant for Bettws Primary School within Bridgend County Borough Council’s Catering Services. You will work across 56 schools, assisting in the preparation, presentation, and service of primary, secondary and special school meals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff.
• Lay out dining tables and chairs.
• Operate a touch screen terminal in some schools (training provided).

Qualifications

• Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate (training to be provided if necessary).
• Cover at schools across the County Borough is a requirement of the role.
• Enhanced child‑related DBS check.

Working Hours

Term time only, Monday to Friday, between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm, supporting the mid‑morning break and lunchtime periods.

Salary

£13.45 per hour
