Pay Information

• Base pay starts from £13.28 an hour, £14.55 in stores within the M25.
• Night premium of £2.35 per hour for work between midnight and 6am.
• Additional payments may apply depending on location.

Key Responsibilities

• Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.
• Be passionate and knowledgeable about products and services within the store.
• Work across the store in service, picking, and replenishment areas as required.
• Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
• Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet their needs at the right time.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
• Be knowledgeable about the store’s performance, understanding your role in driving service and sales, reducing waste, shrink and delivering profit.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
• Live Tesco values, making everyone feel welcome and follow policies.
• Possibly accept deliveries into the store at times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile.
• Ability to build rapport, making customers leave having experienced a great shopping trip.
• Take initiative and make decisions that are right for customers.
• Work well within a team, communicate openly.
• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
• Be punctual, well presented, and ready to be a brand ambassador.
• Over 18; must be over age 18 if role requires work before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or in certain areas.
