Overview
Our Tesco Colleague pay starts from £13.28 per hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25. For all hours worked between midnight and 6am, you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
Policies include a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week for new colleagues, with opportunities to work fewer hours (down to 12) if desired.
The role offers flexibility around available times. We will schedule contracted hours within the stated availability windows and provide 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. If your availability is close to but not exactly the advertised times, we would still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
- Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, providing great natural service.
- Be knowledgeable about products and services within the store.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
- Apply training to work safely, effectively and deliver excellent service.
- Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver store routines that meet customer needs at the right time.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand store performance and contribute to driving service, sales, reducing waste, shrink and profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
- Represent the store values, be welcoming, and follow company policies.
- Occasionally assist with deliveries into the store.
