After School Cleaner Required – Ilkeston, DE7 6FS
Monday to Friday – Total 15 hours per weekTerm time only (with occasional deep cleans during school holidays)Two site visits required daily
This is a hands‑on, active cleaning role based at a school in Ilkeston (DE7 6FS). You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site, supporting daily opening and closing procedures, and ensuring the school is ready for use each day.
This role is ideal if you prefer practical work, like staying active, and want a clear start and finish to your working day with no desk work or admin.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday
- Daily unlock at 7:00am and lock-up at 5:45pm (approximately 1 hour total per day for site access duties)
- Cleaning duties: 2 hours per day, to be completed either: Early morning (approx. 5:00am–7:00am), or Evening (5:45pm–7:45pm)
Total: 15 hours per week This role requirestwo visits to site each day (morning and evening).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school
- Carrying out daily cleaning tasks across designated areas
- Use of cleaning equipment, including floor machines where required
- Supporting opening (unlock) and closing (lock‑up) procedures
- Reporting any maintenance or site issues to management
Requirements
- Must be able to travel to DE7 6FS (own transport advantageous)
- Experience using floor machines preferred
- Good reliability and timekeeping
- Knowledge of COSHH is desirable
- At least one reference from a previous employer
- £12.71 per hour
- Fortnightly pay
