Temporary Ongoing Role
£12.71 per hour
We are recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join a busy kitchen and staff restaurant team on a temporary ongoing basis in Dartford.
This role suits someone reliable, hardworking, who can work well in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
Duties will include:
- Keeping kitchen, food preparation, and serving areas clean and tidy
- Washing dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment
- Cleaning floors, surfaces, and kitchen areas
- Serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks to staff
- Using the till when required
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Receiving and storing food deliveries correctly
- Carrying out temperature and quality checks on deliveries
- Disposing of waste and recycling appropriately
- Supporting other kitchen team members when required
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous kitchen, catering, or food service experience
- A positive and flexible attitude
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
Desirable:
- Food Hygiene Certificate
