Location: EH11 4HD

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week

Pay Rate: £14.51 per hour

Temporary Ongoing – Immediate starts available

The Driver Labourer will work alongside skilled mechanics, maintaining high standards across the workshop and welfare areas, and preparing vehicles and equipment for maintenance and MOT testing.

Responsibilities

• Keeping workshop, depot and welfare facilities clean, safe and well‑organised
• Steam cleaning vehicles and specialist plant to approved standards
• Supporting mechanics with basic servicing tasks such as lubrication, greasing, oil and filter changes
• Collecting and delivering vehicles, parts and consumables to minimise vehicle downtime
• Presenting vehicles (including LGVs/HGVs) for MOT testing
• Driving vehicles to identify and report faults
• Assisting with manual handling and removal of vehicle components
• Working both indoors and outdoors in a busy, professional workshop environment

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• A reliable and positive team player with a practical mindset
• Comfortable with physical work and working in all weather conditions
• An interest in vehicles or mechanical work (experience helpful but not essential)
