Position Details

We are recruiting an experienced female Support Worker for 26 hours per week in the Drumoyne/Govan area of Glasgow. The shifts are generally 2 × 13 hours per week. A full UK driving licence is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement – a female colleague is required because the people we support sometimes need a male or female person to support them.

Responsibilities

  • Support 2 individuals who share a home
  • Assist with medication, cooking and personal care
  • Help with moving and positioning and attending hospital appointments
  • Maintain the homes and manage finances
  • Provide support 24 hours a day, including weekends and sleepovers; shift patterns are 7:30 am–7:30 pm and 7:30 pm–10:30 pm with a sleepover
  • Work in a flexible and person‑centred manner that meets the needs and preferences of the people we support, enabling them to live the life they choose

Qualifications & Skills

  • Female – genuine occupational requirement
  • Full UK driving licence
