It is essential to provide the guests with a positive experience before they step out of the bar. As a Hard Rock Cafe bartender, you will be assuming the role of tour guide, communicator, showman, decision-maker, memorabilia curator and musician (at heart).Basic functions of the Bartender include:Making drinks to spec recipeDemonstrating responsible alcohol serviceServing foodHandling cash & other forms of paymentMaking proficient sales transactions – using a point-of-sale systemProperly checking I.D.s – in line with EU/UK mandatory licencing laws (and Challenge 25)Maintaining proper cash drawer balancesDirecting guests to areas/restroomsDemonstrating impeccable product knowledgeSuggestive selling – using proven techniquesMaintaining a clean and organized bar areaMaintaining proper product pars – through bar pulls & inventoriesStocking liquor, beer, wine and glassware throughout the shiftProperly labeling, dating, covering and refrigerating prepped items for the barMaintaining a proper 3-compartment sink – properly sanitizing equipment, utensils, and glasswarePerforming opening, closing & side duties – setting up/breaking down the bar, cleaning glass/countertops, sweeping the floor, etcAnswering questions – accurately and politelyCreating memorable experiencesEntertaining guests to create “Raving Fans”Job Requirements include:Performing duties which require bending, reaching, lifting & standing for long periods of timeMaintaining a well-groomed appearance (“having a plan”)Following all uniform guidelinesPracticing all safety & sanitation standardsRecycling products, where possibleRemaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphereDemonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgencyDisplaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guestsMaintaining HRC’s 5 core Values and Mission Statement#J-18808-Ljbffr…
