Overview
Established in 1987, The Association of Carers provides free, volunteer-led support services to unpaid carers in East Sussex.
Responsibilities
- Teach basic IT skills and guide carers who aren’t confident with using a computer or the internet through the tasks they require (e.g., online shopping or banking, using a program to call over the internet, helping to set up an NHS online account or an email address).
Requirements / Qualifications
- Decent grasp of IT and good communication skills; patient and understanding.
- A DBS check is required, which the Association of Carers will apply for on your behalf.
- Only those aged 18 or over are suitable.
- Full training will be provided.
- Mileage and expenses are paid.
Details
- Location: at the carer’s home.
- Session length: usually two hours per session.
- Duration: up to six weeks.
