The Role and About You
This is a practical, active position where your contribution has a direct impact every shift. As a Night Shift Train Cleaner, you’ll be responsible for preparing trains for daily service by maintaining high cleaning standards throughout the depot.
Responsibilities
- Vacuuming and mopping floors.
- Sanitising high-contact areas.
- Carrying out deep cleans within train carriages.
- Servicing and cleaning the waste tanks from train toilets using specialist equipment.
- Fuelling trains.
- Operating within a varied and physically demanding environment.
Qualifications
- Reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
- Good attention to detail.
- Positive attitude toward maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Previous experience in transport cleaning, industrial cleaning, or housekeeping (preferred).
- Willingness to receive full training and PPE.
Shift pattern: 5 days on, 3 days off followed by 4 days on, 3 days off from 21:15pm to 06:00am, including scheduled weekend working. Opportunities for overtime and longer-term career progression exist.
Start date: 15th June 2026.
