About The Post

We are seeking reliable and professional Exam Invigilators to support the effective and compliant delivery of University of Suffolk examinations. You will help maintain the integrity, security, and smooth running of exam sessions, ensuring all assessments are conducted in line with University regulations and internal quality assurance frameworks. This role is essential in creating a calm and supportive exam environment where all students can perform at their best.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination venues in line with the University’s Preparation and Conduct of Invigilated Examinations.
  • Distribute, collect, and account for examination materials accurately.
  • Check student identification and ensure compliance with entry requirements.
  • Supervise candidates throughout examinations, maintaining vigilance at all times.
  • Report suspected malpractice immediately to Academic Administration Officers.
  • Support students with permitted rest breaks and manage exam conduct and conditions.
  • Collect and organise completed scripts and ensure secure return of materials.
  • Assist with resetting venues between exam sessions.
  • Attend mandatory training and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Relevant Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of working in a responsible or customer‑focused environment.
  • Desirable: Experience in an educational or examination setting.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with JCQ or HE exam regulations.
