Job Description

We’re looking for a Sub Agent to join our Water Retain Barrier (WRB) team based in Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard. Location: Plymouth, Devonport Royal Dockyard – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required. Hours: 45 hours per week (07:30 – 17:00) – some flexibility on hours available if desired.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. Security clearance is required; candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor team members while maintaining high standards in health, safety and environmental practices.
  • Communicate effectively with management, technical specialists, clients and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Manage resources, monitor delivery against agreed programmes, and develop solutions to minimise any potential impacts.
  • Ensure all documentation, risk assessments and test plans are properly maintained and followed.
  • Support the agent with cost management systems and commercial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Degree, HND, HNC or NVQ in Construction/Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Experience in construction/civil operations with SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a team environment while maintaining a caring approach to colleagues.
