Job Description:

– £13.65 per hour Shaw healthcare is looking for a receptionist to join the team at Surehaven Glasgow. Our team is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those we provide care for. Key Responsibilities

  • Respect patient confidences, except where disclosure is required to prevent harm or offence
  • Operate the telephone system – respond to enquiries, screen, and transfer calls professionally at all times
  • Present the reception area professionally and act as hostess when required, offering refreshments to visitors
  • Adhere to safety and security arrangements, ensuring all visitors have identities checked and are issued a security pass
  • Monitor CCTV at the reception desk and report any concerns to the Senior Administrator immediately
  • Carry out general administration tasks as requested by the Senior Administrator, e.g., photocopying, copy‑typing, clinical filing, audio typing
  • Exercise integrity in handling confidential matters and personal information of patients and staff
  • Act as Fire Warden when an alarm occurs
  • Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing mail, including recorded delivery items, special delivery items, and signed‑for items
  • Make appointments using electronic diaries
  • Deputise for the secretary/administrator when required
