We have a wonderful opportunity for a Female Support Worker(s) to join an established care team providing support to a bubbly and engaging lady who lives with her family less than 5 miles from Lincoln.
Our Client
Poppy is a fascinating young woman in her early 30s who lives at home with her family in a small rural village close to Lincoln. She has cerebral palsy, autism and a brain injury, and can exhibit challenging behaviours. Despite speech difficulties Poppy communicates well and requires support in all areas of her day‑to‑day life including personal care.
Poppy is bright and engaged, enjoying hobbies such as bingo, visiting coffee shops, walking, shopping, quiet days at home, relaxing and crafting. She uses a powered wheelchair for mobility and loves day trips, including recent trips to London.

She loves day trips, bingo, coffee shops, walks, shopping, quiet home days and crafting. Candidates should share an enthusiasm for these activities and be happy to embrace outings and activities with Poppy.
The Role
We are looking for new Support Worker(s) to join a professional care team that implements a client‑focused care provision. Previous experience within the care sector would be beneficial but is not essential. Successful candidates will need to be open‑minded, willing to learn behaviour‑management techniques, and work collaboratively with the existing team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support Poppy with personal care and daily activities.
- Assist with mobility using a powered wheelchair.
- Organise and accompany Poppy on day trips and community outings.
- Maintain professional boundaries, privacy and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with Poppy, her family and the care team.
- Drive the client’s adapted vehicle if required and hold a full, clean UK driving licence with personal vehicle access.
Training & Hours
Training hours (duration unknown): Sunday through to Friday inclusive 09:00 – 17:00.
Once fully trained and familiar with Poppy, shifts will be in line with the rota:
- Sunday to Friday inclusive: Day shifts 07:00 – 17:00 or 09:00 – 19:00.
- Night shifts 19:00 – 07:00.
We have a total of 48 hours per week available and anticipate recruiting two new Support Workers on a part‑time basis. Candidates should offer flexibility to adjust hours for trips, additional shifts, and cover periods of annual leave and sickness within the team.
Rates of Pay
- Monday to Friday: £17.00 per hour.
- Saturday & Sunday: £19.00 per hour.
