Cleaner Band B: £12.85 per hour (reviewed each April to reflect the NJC pay award).

Hours: 3.30pm to 7.30pm daily.

Permanent contract 20 hours per week, term‑time plus August and Easter deep cleans (42 weeks).

Opportunity of overtime for cover, school holidays, evenings and weekends.

Following a restructure last year to bring our cleaning services back in‑house, we have a vacancy for a part‑time cleaner. We strive to create an excellent environment for our students and staff to work in, and this role is important in ensuring the school is at its best at the start of each school day. By recruiting our own cleaner into our in‑house site team, we are looking for the successful candidate to become an established member of our school community, forging excellent working relationships with all staff.

  • To undertake specific daily, weekly and periodic tasks in the designated area.
  • To undertake ad hoc tasks not covered by the rota but require attention to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Make available to support the team by working ad hoc overtime when required.
  • Schedule tasks to be considerate to staff and students on site and during evening lettings customers.

About you

  • Experience of cleaning, ideally in a school setting.
  • Understanding of the Health & Safety requirements for the role.
  • Positive work ethic that contributes to the culture of the school.
