About the Role
Futur3s South West is a dynamic, compassionate organisation dedicated to providing Supported Accommodation for young people aged 16-18 in Taunton, Somerset. We are committed to creating a supportive, safe, and empowering environment for both our young people and our team. We are now looking for caring and motivated individuals to join our team as Support Workers.

Requirements
- Must be over the age of 23 due to OFSTED requirements
- Male and females are welcome
- Non drivers must be happy with a BANK position
Experience isn’t essential as full training is provided with opportunities to complete your Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care upon successful completion of your probationary period.
Shifts
We have part time, full time and BANK positions available.
The full time roles are based on a 35‑hour working week, providing a structured foundation while allowing flexibility in line with the needs of the service. The 35‑hour baseline also provides flexibility to reduce hours when service demand is lower, supporting a better work‑life balance over time.
In practice, our team regularly works 48+ hours per week, offering excellent opportunities for those who are looking to maximise their earnings.
Our 6‑week rota includes a mix of:
- Weekends
- Waking Nights
- Sleep‑ins
Pay Rates
£14 per hour – Unqualified
£14.50 per hour – Level 3
£15 per hour – Level 4 or above
£50.84 – Sleep in allowance
£30 per night – On‑call overnight support option – You remain at home with calls diverted to your phone and offer guidance to our young people
Key Responsibilities
- Support and Guidance: Offer tailored support and advice to young people in our homes, helping them develop life skills and achieve their goals.
- Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well‑being of our young people by adhering to safeguarding policies and providing a safe space for them to thrive.
- Signposting: Help young people access vital services and resources, ensuring they have the support they need for a successful transition to adulthood.
- Record‑Keeping: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in line with company policies, ensuring the highest standards of documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure the highest quality of care and to create a supportive, welcoming environment for both young people and staff.
What We’re Looking For
- Compassionate and Motivated Individuals: You should have a genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to helping them succeed.
- Experience: Ideally, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a support environment, such as early years settings, residential homes, or adult care settings.
- Qualifications: An NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided, and successful candidates will be enrolled on their Level 3 qualification after their probation period.
- Enhanced DBS Check: A Child & Adult Workforce enhanced DBS check is required to ensure the safety and well‑being of the young people in our care.
