Working Pattern

The Role
- Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards, including weekly and periodic tasks.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health guidelines (COSHH).
- Maintain full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
- Report immediately any faulty equipment, mark it as faulty and do not use it.
- Use appropriate safety signage at all times, e.g., wet floor signs, and warn customers where possible.
- Keep cleaning stores clean and tidy and store equipment correctly and safely.
The Person
- Knowledge and experience with cleaning chemicals/products.
- Customer focused with a good eye for detail.
- Good time‑management skills.
- Experience of working independently and ensuring set tasks are completed.
- Basic statutory training: candidates must have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to understand safety and work instructions and to communicate with customers on a day‑to‑day basis.
