Overview
Salary hourly paid rising to £16.00 p/h after 1 year anniversary. The role starts at our Northampton depot, located just outside Northampton Town Centre. We provide fully paid training through a Level 2 Apprenticeship Qualification to help you gain your PCV licence.
Pay rate during training: £12.71 per hour (training lasts 6–8 weeks). Pay rate increases once you are working alone and again on your 1 year anniversary to £16.00 per hour as a qualified bus driver. Shift patterns are mixed of any 4 or 5 days in 7 days.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing includes:
- Completing industry‑leading training to secure your PCV licence followed by ongoing CPC training and professional development as part of your Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship.
- Driving our fleet safely, smoothly, and with confidence.
- Ensuring every customer has a great journey and delivering top‑notch customer service.
- Creating a welcoming environment where customers feel respected and supported, especially those who rely on us most.
- Working flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Qualifications
- 18years old and hold a driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Right to work in the UK.
- A patient, safe and courteous approach.
- Positive, friendly attitude and a passion for delivering great customer service.
- Willingness to learn and be part of a brilliant team.
