Location: Olympia, West Kensington, W14 8UX
Shift pattern: 5 days out of 7 (40 hours per week), 8‑hour shifts.
Flexibility required: You must be available to work a weekly rotating rota, including weekends, covering the following shifts:
- 06:00-15:00
- 14:00-23:00
Pay rate: £14.80 per hour
ABM UK is seeking reliable and proactive Cleaning Operatives to join the soft services team at a brand‑new, high‑profile multi‑use complex in West Kensington, London. This landmark development includes corporate offices, event venues, leisure facilities, and restaurants, and is currently in the pre‑opening phase. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play an important role in maintaining high cleaning standards across all areas of the site. This is a full‑time role requiring flexibility, including weekend work and shift‑based availability, to meet the demands of a dynamic, high‑footfall environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating cleaning machinery – electric vehicle, scrubber‑dryers, waste compactors
- Carry out cleaning tasks to the highest standards across designated areas
- Operate cleaning equipment such as scrubber‑dryers and vacuum cleaners safely and effectively
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health & safety and COSHH regulations
- Report any defects, issues, or hazards promptly to the Team Leader
- Assist with waste management and recycling processes
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning materials and use resources efficiently
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of verbal and written English
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
- Awareness of health & safety and COSHH regulations
Desirable
- Previous experience in a cleaning role
- Experience operating cleaning machinery e.g., scrubber‑dryers, waste compactors (advantage but not essential)
