Support Worker (Female), Northallerton – Avalon Group

Join Avalon Group in Northallerton as a Support Worker. This role offers full‑time and part‑time hours in supported living properties, including mornings, evenings, weekends and occasional sleep‑over shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, support daily living tasks and assist with medication, shopping and appointments.
  • Plan and join regular social events such as parties, bowling and local group activities.
  • Work flexibly with a variety of shifts, ensuring you and the people you support have meaningful, fulfilling sessions that last at least one hour.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful environment for residents.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • No previous experience or specific education required – a genuine desire to help others is key.
  • Must be female (a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Equality Act 2010).
  • Legally able to work in the UK; no sponsorship required.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to drive to various support locations.
  • Accept an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate as a condition of employment.
