Investment20/20 Programme
We are recruiting for a 12‑month placement across the business. This traineeship offers industry knowledge and experience in the Real Estate Living Investments team, particularly student housing (Purpose‑Built Student Accommodation) investments.
Role Overview
As a Trainee for the Real Estate Living Investments team, you will cover European living investments and Business Development, assisting the Senior Director with a focus on student housing.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: research new conviction areas / alternative living asset classes and prepare materials for market opportunity presentations.
- Asset Management: support best‑practice processes for Purpose‑Built Student Accommodation assets, prepare templates, collect data, and produce reporting.
- Investments: analyze potential investment opportunities, source comparable evidence, build and run cash‑flow models, and conduct sensitivity analysis.
- Market Intelligence: stay informed on capital market activity in the European Living Sectors and maintain investment contacts.
- Transactions: assist with transactional processes, review legal agreements, and support local investment team execution and meeting attendance.
Profile: Analytical, numerate, detail‑oriented, hardworking, proactive, collaborative, and proficient in Excel and relevant real‑estate software.
Qualifications
- High proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and relevant real‑estate software.
- Analytical and numerate with a high degree of accuracy.
- Hardworking, proactive, confident, self‑motivated and articulate.
- Ability to prioritise and work as part of a small team, primarily assisting the Senior Director.
Key Dates & Details

- Salary: £26,500 per annum
We require all applicants to have the right to work in the UK until at least October 2027.
Employment Terms
Full time, Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term). The workplace model requires employees to work in an Invesco office for at least four full days each week.
