£30,624- £36,590 per annum (pro rata for fractional posts); £4,500 “Golden Hello” paid in 3 instalments.

Overview
Due to continued growth within the department, Burton and South Derbyshire College are looking for talented and passionate individuals from the Motor Vehicle industry to join our professional and high‑performing team.
This position is available for experienced and qualified teachers looking for a new challenge or those from industry, but no teaching qualification interested in a career in education. Due to the diversity in opportunities, all permutations will be considered and can be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities
- Deliver, assess and monitor students enrolled on Level 1, 2 or 3 programs.
- Support and facilitate student learning, liaising closely with the Curriculum Team Leader, other Course Leaders and Management.
- Apply industry knowledge and lead by example with regards to attitudes and behaviours.
- Achieve impressive outcomes and deliver engaging teaching sessions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Working knowledge and industry experience of Motor Vehicle systems and technical maintenance, ideally up to Level 3.
- Qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths (evidence of qualifications required).
- Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain a qualified teaching qualification is desirable; other qualifications will be considered.
- Experience in a teaching or training role is beneficial but not mandatory.
Professional Development
In addition to the “Golden Hello”, technical related CPD qualification(s) and/or teaching qualification(s) will be funded by BSDC. Possibility of additional bursaries based on individual candidate circumstances.
