About The Role

We’re looking for a part‑time Cleaner to join our friendly team at Seeleys House Short Breaks Centre. Your role is to maintain a high‑quality environment that meets COSHH standards and infection control requirements. You will work largely independently, ensuring cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly, safely and on time.

Salary and Hours

  • Salary: £25,151 – £26,313 per annum pro rata
  • Hours: 9.25 hours per week
  • Working pattern to be discussed at interview

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing and emptying bins.
  • Cleaning all rooms, including toilets, bathrooms, kitchens and frequently touched areas to infection control standards.
  • Using cleaning equipment and hazardous products safely and storing them correctly.
  • Maintaining cleaning equipment in good working order.
  • Following instructions, schedules and safety procedures accurately.
  • Interacting with clients, colleagues and visitors in a calm, helpful and professional manner.
  • Sharing ideas or concerns to help improve the service.

About You

  • Reliable, organised and take pride in your work.
  • Happy working independently, manage your time well and always strive to maintain high standards.
  • Previous experience in a cleaning role.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations, cleaning standards and infection control.
  • Good attention to detail and a thorough approach to tasks.
  • The ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
