About The Role
We’re looking for a part‑time Cleaner to join our friendly team at Seeleys House Short Breaks Centre. Your role is to maintain a high‑quality environment that meets COSHH standards and infection control requirements. You will work largely independently, ensuring cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly, safely and on time.
Salary and Hours
- Salary: £25,151 – £26,313 per annum pro rata
- Hours: 9.25 hours per week
- Working pattern to be discussed at interview
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing and emptying bins.
- Cleaning all rooms, including toilets, bathrooms, kitchens and frequently touched areas to infection control standards.
- Using cleaning equipment and hazardous products safely and storing them correctly.
- Maintaining cleaning equipment in good working order.
- Following instructions, schedules and safety procedures accurately.
- Interacting with clients, colleagues and visitors in a calm, helpful and professional manner.
- Sharing ideas or concerns to help improve the service.
About You
- Reliable, organised and take pride in your work.
- Happy working independently, manage your time well and always strive to maintain high standards.
- Previous experience in a cleaning role.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations, cleaning standards and infection control.
- Good attention to detail and a thorough approach to tasks.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
- A flexible and proactive attitude.
- Good communication skills.
