Overview
A fabulous, busy family with 3 children aged 5, 8 and 11 years old are looking for an enthusiastic and supportive part-time Nanny/Housekeeper. Both parents work full-time.
The family are looking for someone warm and kind, highly proactive, confident and capable. They have a sweet Labrador and value a caregiver who can be flexible and supportive with the children’s routines and activities.
Responsibilities
- Help with school pick-ups, lifts to children’s clubs, giving the children their tea, encouraging music practice and helping with bath and bedtime routine.
- Prepare the children’s tea and manage the children’s laundry.
- Maintain the family diary and organise gear for children’s various sports, music and art.
- Keep the children’s play room and other areas clean and tidy.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nanny/housekeeping experience.
- Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid training.
- Child care qualifications (preferred).
- Capable driver; a car is available for use on duty.
- Proven ability to work well with children with varied interests and schedules.
Details
- Location: Albourne, Hassocks, West Sussex
- Hours: 20 hours per week – 3pm to 7pm (Mon–Fri); flexible with days/hours for the right person
- Days required: Monday – Friday
- Pay: £18–£20 per hour gross (depending on experience)
- Start date: May 2026
- Job type: Permanent, afternoon Nanny/Housekeeper
- Driving required: Yes – car for use on duty
Further details: The role can include cleaning and dog walking if wished, with slightly longer hours, but this is not essential. A cleaner is presently employed. Some shared care with Mum may be needed for occasional lifts to music lessons or swimming.
