Position

We are currently recruiting for a casual‑hour Receptionist at Bailbrook House Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels.

Bailbrook House Hotel

Bailbrook House Hotel is a prestigious luxury country house hotel steeped in history, located in Bath. The hotel has 88 bedrooms spread across the Mansion House and the court and has been awarded 4 Silver stars by the AA. It is a popular venue for relaxing weekends, weddings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience, putting the guest at the heart of everything you do with personalised and thoughtful service.
  • Engage with guests throughout their stay to make them feel at home, relaxed and help create magical memories at every opportunity.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication with the Front Office team to ensure a seamless operation and awareness of all daily activities.
  • Be inspired, have fun and enjoy being part of the Hand Picked Team.

About You

  • Knowledge and experience working in a luxury four‑ or five‑star hotel within a front‑office environment.
  • Passion for going above and beyond for guests and the ability to recognise and act on opportunities to make the experience memorable by suggesting appropriate hotel products and facilities.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, enabling you to anticipate guests’ needs and deliver a Hand Picked experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of hotel reservation systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Opera is desirable.
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to find solutions to any scenario.
  • Calm and professional, maintaining a positive attitude even under pressure.
