Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but you may choose to work fewer hours, down to a minimum of 12 hours per week.
We will schedule your contracted hours within your availability window and provide three weeks’ notice of your shifts.
We support flexibility for our colleagues. If your availability matches closely but not exactly, we would love to hear from you.
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. This role involves serving shoppers, working across the store, operating in service and replenishment areas, preparing for seasonal and community events, and maintaining product quality.
Responsibilities
- Help serve shoppers and meet great people, learning new things and being part of a diverse team.
- Support service, picking and replenishment areas across the store.
- Apply training to work safely, effectively, and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering store routines that meet customer needs on time.
- Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Use knowledge of store performance to drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to ensure quality and best condition.
- Live our values and policies, making everyone feel welcome.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
