Job Title: Night Recovery Worker

Location: Romford (no step free access at this service).

Salary: £28,800 per annum.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a rolling rota between Monday to Sunday 20:00 – 09:30. May require work outside these hours, including bank holidays and evenings.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Night Support Worker to join our night team in rehabilitating and reintegrating male residents and participants into the community. The role involves providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions to enable successful resettlement, collaborating with internal and external partners, and ensuring the smooth running of the night service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times.
  • Empower residents to take control over their lives and meet personal goals.
  • Plan activities to engage residents with community and opportunities.
  • Build trusting professional relationships through tailored one‑to‑one and group sessions, including wellbeing check‑ins.
  • Complete handovers for night colleagues and provide a seamless service.
  • Conduct welfare checks, support residents, and resolve issues that arise.
  • Complete administrative tasks and provide thorough handovers with day staff and managers.

About You

We are looking for a team player with a genuine passion for helping people, challenging stigma, and making a real difference. Key qualities include:

  • Experience working with people of complex backgrounds or a good understanding of the multiple and complex needs sector, including homelessness.
  • Empathy and compassion towards residents and their challenges.
  • Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft and other software programs.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing working patterns and respond to service needs.
  • Ability to promote the service, provide outreach-based provision and liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Aware of social marginalisation experienced by people with multiple and complex needs.
  • Alignment with the organisation’s values of Ambition, Empowerment, Inclusivity and Transparency.
