Pay & Hours
Colleague rate starts at £13.28 per hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25. For all hours worked between midnight and 6 am an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour is paid. You may receive further payments depending on location.
New colleagues are offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; a minimum of 12 hours is also available for those wishing fewer hours.
Responsibilities
- Serve shoppers each day, delivering great natural service and meeting their needs.
- Work across the store in service, picking, and replenishment areas as required.
- Apply training to work safely and effectively, providing excellent customer service.
- Make customer‑centric decisions and deliver store routines that meet customers’ needs on time.
- Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor store performance, understand your role in driving service and sales, and contribute to reducing waste and shrink.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure customers receive items in the best condition.
- Accept store deliveries when required.

We can only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. The role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or in specific areas such as the warehouse, beer/wine/spirits, counters, bakery, and driving roles. Candidates must therefore be over 18.
