Salary: £13.45 per hour

Term Time

Providing primary, secondary and special school meals to 56 schools across the county borough, Catering Services offer opportunity for you to work as a General Kitchen Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Provide a safe, clean environment to pupils and staff.
• Lay out dining tables and chairs.
• Operate a touch-screen terminal (training provided).
• Protect children, young people or adults at risk (core responsibility of all council employees).

Qualifications

• Must be able to cover at schools across the County Borough.
• Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate (training provided if necessary).
• Enhanced child‑barred list criminal record check by DBS required.

Working Hours

Between 10.00am and 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
