Waking Nights Support Worker

Salary: £13.36 per hour (£25,009.92 annually)

Working Hours: 36 hours per week

Service: Cornerstones Palmarium

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join our team at Cornerstones Palmarium. At Cornerstones, we provide Supported Living support to individuals with learning disabilities, ASD and who may present behaviors that challenge. Support is focused around developing and maintaining daily living skills, and supporting them to engage with the local and wider community.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing and planning goals and ambitions together.
• Help plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
• Assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
• Help plan and participate in days out they wish to enjoy.
• Make a positive impact by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.

• A caring attitude, with a passion for supporting others and a motivation to see them achieve goals.
• A team player, able to work effectively with other colleagues.
• Resilience to keep going at difficult times and the confidence to ask for support if needed.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
