About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Cleaning team as a Cleaner in Charge. The role involves the supervision of a cleaning team within a clinical setting, as well as opening and locking the site each day.

Experience in cleaning is essential; supervision of a cleaning team is desirable but not mandatory as training will be provided. Duties include day‑to‑day supervision of cleaning staff, reporting any faults to the site manager, complying with statutory legislation and safe working practices, monitoring health and safety aspects, training cleaning staff in all aspects of cleaning, performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, polishing and dusting, maintaining cleanliness of sanitary wares, managing electrical cleaning machinery (e.g., buffing machine and wet pick‑ups), and using protective clothing and PPE as required.

About You

  • Experience of cleaning to clear set out standards
  • Experience of day‑to‑day team supervision
  • Basic understanding of different cleaning methods and equipment
  • Basic awareness of Health and Safety
  • Able to communicate at all levels
  • Experience of being part of a team
