Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and their families/carers, ensuring a courteous first point of contact for all visitors and staff.
- Assisting with patient check‑in and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Supporting nurses and medical staff in administrative tasks.
- Answering the phone and liaising with other departments for clerical needs.
- Entering patient data onto PAS and assisting with the self‑check‑in kiosk.
- Tracing, printing, labeling and filing patient notes in a methodical manner.
- Ensuring patient notes are sent for coding/scanning promptly and recording all activity on the computer system.
- Handling incoming and outgoing post, distributing as required.
- Completing the daily cashup of clinics.
- Working a rota to be on site at the Bristol diagnostic hub.
Requirements
- Well‑organised, enthusiastic individual who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good working knowledge of IT to support administrative processes.
- Methodical approach to a variable workload.
- Self‑motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy, deadline‑driven team.
- Capability to act as the focal point of administrative communications for outpatients.
