Hours: Parttime, 10 hours per week (6:00–8:00 am or 3:30–5:30 pm, Monday–Friday)
Salary: £24,796.00 FTE (£6,701.62 for 10 h/week)
Main Purpose of the Job
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all pupils, staff, and visitors at St Margaret’s CE Primary School.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize designated areas including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas
- Perform daily cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins
- Ensure that cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and used efficiently
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Site Manager
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Person Specification
- Qualifications & Training: Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Experience: Previous experience in a cleaning role is desirable but not essential
- Skills & Knowledge: Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively; knowledge of health and safety practices related to cleaning
- Personal Qualities: Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness; reliable and punctual; ability to work independently and as part of a team
