Vehicle Painter
Salary: £54,600 per annum (£21 per hour) with an increase on completion of 6 month probation.
Hours: 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday, 1 in 2 Saturdays depending on business needs.
Location: Halo ARC Basingstoke.
Halo is the industry leading UK-based accident repair group, with 38 established accident repair centres across the UK. We are still growing and partnered with IRS (Intelligent Repair Services) based in Germany.
We are looking for a Vehicle Painter with at least 3 years of experience. You will be responsible for carefully preparing, priming, painting, and finishing a variety of vehicles to meet insurers’ stringent standards.
Responsibilities
- Paint vehicles to a high standard, ensuring timely completion.
- Possess a strong understanding of paint processes and techniques.
- Prepare vehicles with priming and masking.
- Use RPE and PPE appropriately.
- Accurately match painted panels to the vehicle’s original colour.
- Apply the necessary amount of paint for optimal results.
- Inspect finished paint jobs and polish as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a vehicle painter in an automotive repair environment.
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of vehicle painting.
- Strong team player, collaborative.
- Capable of completing tasks from start to finish within set timeframes and to a high standard.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage high volumes of work.
- Skilled at meeting strict targets and deadlines.
