The Role

MTM is offering an internship on our qualitative research team. The position is a 2‑3 month full‑time role paid at the London Living Wage (or the Real Living Wage if based in Leeds).

The successful candidate will work across a range of key clients, including the BBC, YouTube, Google, Channel 4, and The Football Association. Responsibilities include research, listening to interviews and focus groups, analysis, report writing, and participating in meetings.

There is potential for the role to become permanent if successful, joining the team as a full‑time researcher after completing the internship.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level education required.
  • Research experience (theoretical or hands‑on) would be beneficial, but is not required.
  • Curious and inquisitive mindset.
  • Bright, enthusiastic, and can‑do attitude.
  • A proactive, enquiring approach to work.
  • Passion for media, entertainment, and technology.
  • Willingness to work on a range of client accounts.
  • Interest in human behaviour/psychology.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail, with high standards of written output.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, lateral thinking, and flexibility.
  • Love for working collaboratively.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and willing to commute to office at least 3 days a week.
