OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Events Bartenders are the face of the bar at every event, delivering a welcoming and professional experience for all guests while efficiently preparing and serving a range of drinks. Events Bartenders are responsible for maintaining a consistent standard of service across all events, with a working knowledge of the drinks menu on offer.
Events Bartenders approach their work with a strong sense of urgency, adaptability and attention to detail. They communicate clearly with their team members and work closely with all event staff to ensure that all guests’ needs are met. Events Bartenders are approachable and professional while remaining calm and focused under pressure.
EXPECTATIONS
The Events Bartender is expected to:
- Be professional at all the times
- Be a positive ambassador of the NoMad throughout your time with us.
- Always adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not exclusive of; H&S policies, HR policies; employee handbook.
- To role model the company values, and bring them to life through each and every interaction.
- During periods of reduced business, to support all Hotel bar outlets where required.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities of the Events Bartender are summarised below, the list is not exhaustive:
- Creating a positive guest experience through a friendly and attentive approach; preparing and serving drinks accurately and efficiently; processing transactions and engaging with guests throughout the event.
- Taking responsibility for the set up of each Event bar, preparation of all required beverages and service of beverage.
- Set the atmosphere of ease, comfort and fun by engaging with the guest in discussions and personalizing the experience for each guest.
- Be a reliable and positive presence behind the bar, supporting bar support staff and assisting the wider events team with any information or operational support they need.
- Up to date knowledge of all drinks on the event menu, including cocktails and classic serves; and a working awareness of food and beverage allergy information, presenting this clearly to guests both verbally and in written form where required.
- A disciplined approach to understanding the event menu and the beverages on offer; and a commitment to developing beverage knowledge in line with training provided.
- Follow all reasonable requests made by the Event Operations Manager and Bar Programme Manager to ensure the best possible guest experience.
