Waking Night Support Worker – Southend

Job Overview

Mencap is seeking a passionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in Southend, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide support during the night to adults with learning disabilities.
• Assist with personal care, including medication administration.
• Move and handle clients using hoists and wheelchairs.
• Check on general well‑being of clients.
• Carry out laundry tasks and some cleaning tasks during the night.

Work Schedule

Typical shifts are 10 hours, from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am (or 9:30 pm to 7:30 am).

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS (subject to suitable references).
• Passionate, compassionate and dedicated.
• Willingness to support people with learning disabilities.
