Volunteer Role at DEBRA Charity Shops
We are recruiting volunteers for our popular charity shops across the UK. This unpaid role involves:
- Serving customers and using the computerised till to take payments for purchases
- Sorting donated stock, clothing and bric-a-brac
- Using a steaming appliance on donated clothes
- Assisting the shop manager with any other tasks to keep the shop running efficiently

Travel Expenses
Expenses will be paid as per the policy and only once training has been completed.
Support
Induction and ongoing training.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16. Over 16s unless undertaking Duke of Edinburgh (14+)

Frequency & Commitment
Minimum 1 hour per week.
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity. Find out more.
Criminal Records – If you have any unspent convictions or are subject to any criminal registers/orders, please consult the official guidance on the 1974 Rehabilitation Act. Having a conviction will not necessarily stop you from volunteering; a risk assessment will be completed before any offer is made.
