Job Overview

Mobile Cleaner / Housekeeper

We have an excellent opportunity for a reliable and organised Mobile Cleaner / Housekeeper to support accommodation properties and office environments across multiple sites in the West Midlands. The role is part‑time, permanent and requires the successful candidate to travel across Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall and Birmingham. Salary is £12.71 per hour plus benefits.

Duties

  • Cleaning Offices and Communal Areas: Vacuum, dust and mop reception areas, meeting rooms and shared spaces.
  • Deep Cleaning Accommodation: Preparing void properties, kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms for re‑letting.
  • Maintaining Hygiene Standards: Ensuring accommodation and office environments remain clean, safe and presentable.
  • Waste Removal: Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately across all locations.
  • Cleaning Floors and Carpets: Vacuum carpets, spot‑clean spillages and mop hard floors.
  • Cleaning Fixtures and Fittings: Dusting and maintaining internal glass, doors and surfaces.
  • Restocking Facilities: Replenishing toiletries and cleaning supplies where required.
  • Using Cleaning Equipment Safely: Following COSHH guidance and training when using cleaning materials and machinery.
  • Reporting Maintenance Issues: Highlighting defects or safety concerns to the relevant team.
  • Travelling Between Sites: Visiting accommodation properties and office locations as required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer‑focused environment.
  • Experience with cleaning duties within accommodation, office or communal settings is desirable.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures relating to cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Willingness to undertake training and follow instructions.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity.
  • Full driving licence with access to a vehicle and willingness to travel across sites.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
