Our vision is simple: The Centre exists to ensure every resident in Crowborough—no matter their age, background, or ability—has a high-quality hub on their doorstep. We’re looking for people who care about the future of Crowborough. A team that reflects our town—different ages, diverse backgrounds, and fresh ideas. Your role as a Trustee would be to help steer the ship, driving our current and future direction to ensure the Centre stays relevant and thriving for years to come.
What are we looking for?
- HR, people management, or employment relations experience.
- Sound judgement and confidentiality.
- Practical, supportive approach.
- Good communication skills.
- Preferably a knowledge of Crowborough and its community.

What will you be doing?
- Contribute to overall trustee board discussions and decision making.
- Act as the trustee lead for HR-related matters.
- Support and advise on staffing, people policies, and employee relations issues.
- Ensure the Community Centre Manager is kept informed of relevant HR matters.
- Respond to HR queries from the Community Centre Manager as needed.
- Help ensure HR practices are appropriate for a small local charity and meet legal obligations.
