WiseGlow is a rapidly growing Solar EPC operating across the UK, backed by a global network of over 13,000 engineers and a 200MW+ track record in Europe. With a secured 10MW+ commercial pipeline for 2026, we are urgently seeking an experienced, self-motivated Freelance Project Surveyor & Client Liaison to represent our brand in Scotland and the North of England.

You will be the face of WiseGlow on-site, responsible for both technical due diligence and high-level client relationship management during the pre-construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Site Surveys

  • Conduct comprehensive on-site technical surveys for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV and battery storage (BESS) projects.
  • Assess roof structures, orientations, shading, and measure dimensions accurately.
  • Evaluate existing electrical infrastructure (M&E, switchrooms, inverter locations, containment routing, and G99 grid connection feasibility).
  • Produce detailed survey packs, photographic evidence, and technical reports for our central design team.

2. Commercial & Client Liaison

  • Act as the professional, “white-label” face of WiseGlow, managing client relations during site visits.
  • Engage with business owners, factory managers, and stakeholders to understand their operational needs and address preliminary project queries.
  • Spot commercial risks or upsell opportunities on-site (e.g., roof repairs needed, future EV charging infrastructure requirements) and feed insights back to the commercial team.
  • Ensure a seamless, professional customer experience that protects and enhances our company’s reputation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Industry Experience: Proven track record in the UK solar PV sector (C&I experience above 50kW is highly desirable).
  • Technical Background: Strong understanding of solar PV engineering, roofing types, and commercial electrical systems (18th Edition, NICEIC, or electrical qualifications are a major plus).
  • Commercial Mindset: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; comfortable representing a global brand to corporate clients.
  • Logistics & Tools: Must be self-employed (CIS registered or operating via a Ltd company), possess your own transport, full UK driving license, and standard surveying equipment.
  • Compliance: Up-to-date Health & Safety accreditations (e.g., CSCS card, SSIP/SafeContractor awareness).
