Your new role
As Fabrication & Assembly Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading fabrication and assembly operations, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This is a key role where you will drive performance, support business growth and implement continuous improvement responsibilities will include:
Leading daily fabrication and assembly operations to meet production and delivery targetsManaging labour utilisation, costs and operational efficiencyEnsuring compliance with ISO9001, ISO3834 and EN1090 (CE) standardsCollaborating with engineering teams to ensure products are manufactured to specificationDriving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesMonitoring KPIs and implementing corrective actionsPromoting a strong health & safety culture across all operationsOverseeing paint line, stores and dispatch functionsLeading, coaching and developing production teams
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong background in fabrication and welding, capable of supporting a growing business in a fast-paced will have:
Proven leadership experience within fabrication or heavy manufacturingStrong technical knowledge of welding and structural steel fabricationExperience managing teams and delivering against production targetsA solid understanding of quality standards and continuous improvementStrong problem-solving and organisational skillsExcellent communication and people management ability
Desirable:
Experience with EN1090, ISO9001 and ISO3834 standardsExposure to high-volume manufacturing environments
